TEAM SELECTION
Team selection will be the sole responsibility of the Manager. The team will be decided at training on a Sunday prior to the next fixture. The team will be selected from those who attend the training. The manager will select what he/she considers to be the strongest eleven plus 3 subs for each fixture. If you are unavailable for training you will automatically rule yourself out for selection. Only registered members of the club can be selected.
This rule will apply for injuries and holidays, as soon as you return to training, you are then eligible for selection. Exceptions: less than 14 at training - selection will then be made on availability. Whilst the club will do what it can this season to try and give everyone football – hopefully numbers can be sustained - regular full training sessions will guarantee general improvement in individual performances, as well as being beneficial to whole club and contributing to our overall success of the team this season. In short, just by regularly attending the training, so are actively contributing every week to the success of the club.
All Bangor home games will be played on a TUESDAY evening, and all are evening kick-offs. Away/cup games will be played on a night most suitable to the opponents (Usual mid-week).

TRAINING
Training is scheduled every Sunday afternoon, from 1.30 p.m. SHARP until 3.35 p.m. and at Clandeboye Park, until end of May (Ground Closure) then Valentine/Bloomfield Playing Fields. All members are required to attend training. If you are not available, you should contact (text) the club secretary at 0773 2277854, to explain your absence. While it is understandable that work, family commitments, etc., sometimes take preference to training etc., a member of the club who is regularly unavailable to train, might be considered as unavailable for selection. All instances will be considered as due the individual circumstances. Training for 2012 will re-commence January 15th, at Clandeboye Park, Bangor - with a programme of coaching which will concentrate on three elements of the modern day footballer: Physical - cardio vascular conditioning; tactical - team formations, offsides, principles of attack and defence; and finally technique - skills, shielding, heading, passing etc. Training will generally proceed regardless of weather conditions. Should for any reason the training be called off, every member of the club will be informed by text no later than 12.30 p.m. on that Sunday. Players are asked to wear suitable clothing, and advised to wear shinguards at all times, for their own safety and in the interests of the club.
New members: Membership is currently open. New players will be encouraged to join the club, by filling out a 2012 registration form, posting it to A.
